Lymphatic Massage


This gentle superficial massage technique is relaxing and at the same creates an analgesic effect on persons suffering from a variety of disorders.


Definition:

The utilization of specific hand techniques combined with the knowledge of the flow patterns of lymphatic fluid to intentionally stimulate and affect the circulation and movement of lymphatic fluid through the body. The manual techniques of this therapy are for the intent of increasing or re-directing the flow of lymph and interstitial fluid and are adapted to the anatomic and physiologic conditions of the lymphatic system.
