Cosmetic Needling

Needling Never Looked So Good

What is Fascial Needling?

This is an alternative form of Botox that helps to stimulate fibroblasts in the underlying tissue to trigger strengthening of the connective tissue fibers and improve overall appearance of the dermis and epidermis without the use of toxins. In those already receiving Botox, fascial needling can be used in between injections to prolong the time needed between injections. In turn, this also reduces the chances of needing more Botox in the future as the body’s tolerance and sensitivity to the drug may change over time.

How does it help?

By triggering cells called fibroblasts and creating micro-trauma, we are helping to strengthen the connective tissue (aka collagen) within the skin and fascial layers beneath the skin to improve their alignment, strength, and integrity helping the skin maintain a younger and healthier overall appearance.

We have decades of research to support the effectiveness of triggering fibroblast with acupuncture needles and their effects thanks to the work of former Harvard medical professor Helene Langevin, MD. She is currently the Director of the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health at the National Institutes of Health.
